Desert Storm was the codename for the 1991 military campaign to liberate Kuwait from Iraq, following Iraq’s invasion and annexation of the country. The campaign was led by a coalition of countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Saudi Arabia, and was sanctioned by the United Nations. We honor our Desert Storm Veterans with these Desert Storm Veteran Custom Engraved Challenge Coins.

The ground campaign, which lasted from February 24th to February 28th, was characterized by a rapid, coordinated advance across the desert by coalition forces, which quickly overwhelmed the Iraqi military and led to their surrender.

The operation was widely seen as a significant military victory for the coalition and marked the end of the Gulf War. The aftermath of the war saw continued tensions in the region and the imposition of sanctions on Iraq in an effort to restrict its weapons of mass destruction programs.
